Earth Hour 2014 will be happening on March 28 from 8:30 - 9:30 PM in 7,000 cities and towns across the world. During that hour participants will turn off all non-essential lighting to join the symbolic movement that unites people under one common goal: to protect the planet.

Patron Satisfaction and Ambiance

Ambiance is a crucial factor in having a positive dining experience, according to Technomic, a fact and insight consulting company in their recent study on restaurant guest satisfaction. The results were based on findings from 123 major American chains, including The Cheesecake Factory®, a Candle Impressions® flameless restaurant. 

"...although ambiance can easily be overlooked because of its intangible nature, it can also be an important factor in a consumer's decision to visit a restaurant. Ambiance is associated with higher consumer experience ratings and overall satisfaction."


Although it's no surprise, 91% of casual-dining customers say the ambiance of a restaurant plays a major role when deciding where to eat. As it turns out, ambiance can also be can be a deal breaker when it comes to overall satisfaction:

"Ninety-eight percent of consumers who rated a restaurant's atmosphere and ambiance as very good also rated their overall visit favorably (excellent or good)." However, when the ambiance was bad or very bad, the overall satisfaction dropped to merely favorable. Ouch!

Toronto Gift Fair

Candle Impressions® has made our way to the polar vortex in Toronto, Ontario, keeping nice and warm at the Toronto Gift Fair in booth 10618.  

The Toronto Gift Fair is part of CanGift, Canada’s largest gift show, and is filled with exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in home and garden goods, which is why Candle Impressions® is there, of course! The show is attended by gift retailers who hand-pick unique merchandise for their stores and take part in a week of trend spotting and shopping in over 1.2 million square feet of space. Sounds like heaven to me!

Ben says the new 2014 seasonal flameless candle line is getting tons of “oohs and awes.” This year our seasonal line has over 60 different flameless candle designs to choose from. Just when we got you excited for spring with our Spring 2014 Colors post, we’re getting you even more excited for fall and winter. Here’s a sneak peek:

Our Flameless Tapers and Sentiment Candles have been flying off the shelves. Personally, I am a huge fan of our Sentiment Flameless Candles. Each has an illustration and beautiful message for a loved one, plus they're made of real wax and feature our realistic wick design. The perfect gift!

Why are we starting this blog? Well, why not! Candle Impressions® has recently launched on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, plus we just updated our website.
